Greetings All!

Here is a post regarding the difference between a PRO ATHLETE and a DOMESTIC ATHLETE. All pro careers inevitably come to an end. Ideally most pros will get to go out on their own terms and have a healthy and successful run on the edge of glory. But eventually, age, life, circumstances and the reality of our mortality catches up.

For Domestic Athletes, (the rest of us folks), PHASES in life will come to an end as well when we move from one phase of life to the next. Pro athletes will of course experience this too after they retire. For many of us there are phases of growth, expansion, peaks, and recovery etc. But for more of us we will still need to more or less be “on our game”. Our careers or jobs are still waiting, our families and kids still may need us, and we have roles we may like play in life and in our communities. It is a long game, and there is no offseason.

We will go through phases or cycles, and have moments in time where we really need to bring our best work forward. Then there are times when we will need to reflect and go introspective on what comes next. IT’S ALL GOOD.  It is also important to take note of what we need from our health, vitality and mindset to get the job done or show up in a way we feel really contributes to world around us and the experiences we want to have.

So, what is your vision for the future? What does it look like? What do you need from your body and mind to meet up with this vision?

Be very well!
