So, how do we know when it is time to start our breakthrough journey? This is a great question! If we are asking it, we usually are about to engage in the process of finding the answers. Here are some more insights on getting started.
How do we know we are ready to start impacting our health?
- The truth is, we are in some ways never really ready and in other ways we are always ready. We may not be ready because of logistical timing, location, finances etc. Tangible things are often required to get started. However, there is always a way to start that can be accessible in our given situation. We just need to be hungry enough for change. We can also argue that we are always ready, simply because our soul is always changing, evolving and exploring through life. So, in a sense, we have never really stopped moving! The shift happens when we start moving from being an unconscious participant to an awakened one.
How do we initiate a lifestyle breakthrough?
- Just start. While on our journey we will need physical exercise, proper nutrition, enough sleep and an outlet for your thoughts and emotions. So might as well start with the basics. But keep it simple. What action can we take TOMORROW that we are not doing today? IE. walking is one of the most therapeutic activities we can implement into our lifestyles. However, if we are already quite physically active, perhaps there is something else we have been thinking of trying that we just have not stepped towards yet. Maybe now is the time! To create a significant lifestyle change choose something that you can sustain daily for 10-40 consecutive days.
Why is it important to get help?
- We need help because we often are unaware of the barriers that hold us back from seeing true greatness. Wayne Dyer once said, “We cannot change the current situation with the same mind that created it.” So, we need guidance, accountability and a supportive sounding-board to ensure success. There’s no way to know if we’re making progress if we don’t share, gain feedback and continue to be in action. Whether it’s a friend, family member or a coach we all need someone to connect with as we find our way. A coach of some kind also adds an element of expertise in areas we are not trained in as well. This can focus our objectives and save us possibly years of frustration as we navigate this adventure. It is also simply just so overwhelming to make big changes by ourselves. Working with others also helps with integrating our new ideas into our active world. Ask for help!
How do I know I’m on the right path?
- In my point of view, there is only one path. So it may be possible we are always on the right path. However, there’s a difference between blindly taking the path or taking a conscious leap into the unknown. But the best way to describe when we find our path is that it feels familiar. We notice clues and coincidences. Things seem to connect in some magical way. We feel called or pulled towards something. It gets us emotionally. It feels meaningful enough to explore even when we are not yet clear on the purpose or outcome. The more we play full-on the more clues we find. When we are on the path we simply just know it! It just feels right! Even when it is uncomfortable, we feel compelled to keep going.
These are just some of MANY more questions we can ask about engaging on a life-changing journey. This is why I will often have several conversations with someone before we begin doing work together. It helps to explore the ROOT of our situation to recognize the needs and first action steps that align us with our dreams.
For any of you that have more questions, please feel free to ask. When we are all in a time where we need each other the most, we must not hesitate to reach out, even if it is just to share a few words and laughs. Humans are social beings. We also hunger to learn and create. Let’s create TOGETHER!
Be Healthy. Be Happy. Be Love!
