Here is another share from how things have unfolded so far. Perhaps fear still creeps in. This is a recap of what was covered.
WEEK 3 – “FEAR” – APR 5
(Definition according to Merriam-webster.com)
- An unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger.
- Anxious concern.
- Attentive care and protectiveness.
- A reason for alarm.
So, why did FEAR come up as a theme this week?
Perhaps it was because most of us are getting present to a new reality. There has been more data to process related to our situation. There have been also more significant changes taking place in our lifestyles that have affected us directly, which has caused us to make adjustments for a more long term circumstance.
I could maybe go on with the details of what may trigger some fear but what is more relevant is what will help us CLEAR ourselves so we can continue to press on powerfully and remain active with the things that keep us in a healthy and happy state.
Emotions like fear can resonate energetically low as well. To engage in things that trigger our fear regularly can also compromise our immunity to illness and the ability to contribute to and support others around us.
So, bottom line, we want to manage our fear and get present to what can trigger it from time to time.
Here are three common things that could cause our fear:
1. Too much information.
2. Not enough information.
3. Lack of action or tools to process stress.
What can we do?
- Connect with a friend.
- Walk away from what is triggering us.
TASK: Notice Fear & Process Accordingly
Over the next week, we can pay attention to when we feel a fear coming on. It is felt in the body, usually triggered by our thoughts or information coming in. BUDDY UP, this week to connect when fear starts trickling in, and help each other move through it.
This is a natural, emotion that is designed to keep us safe. So the physiology of fear is actually a good thing at times when it is necessary. But not having a way to manage it, when there is not a logical time to be afraid, can be draining and prevent us from enjoying time with others, being productive, and contributing in meaningful and effective ways.
If this resonates at all for you, I am inviting others to join us as we move through this together. If you wish to join simply click the link below to fill out a quick form so we can get present to what you need the most right now.
